d) After the plaster has set, the flask is heated in boiling water, separated, and flushed until the wax is removed. Wipe off all the surfaces to which new material is to be applied, using a pledget of cotton dampened with monomer. Pack the flask with acrylic dough, and trial-close it in the same manner as for an original denture. Processing should be at 165° F. for 2 ½ hours. Cool the flask for 30 minutes prior to opening it. When the denture is removed from the cast, it is ready to be polished.
